Resolutions, anyone?

I didn't think I was going to resolve to do anything particular this year, but then I realized it might be nice to blog a little more often. Hell, I might even figure out some of the little added features around here.

I think I'm kinda using this to avoid doing other things I should be doing instead: finishing up a freelance project, writing thank you notes, sending holiday/new years cards (valentines might be a more realistic goal), regrouting the tub, etc, etc. Don't get me wrong, I did some good things today. I slept in, went through mail, paid bills, had a nice spa-inspired afternoon with deep conditioning, exfoliation and fantabulous mani/pedi, then baked cupcakes. Mmm... None of these things were priorities on my list, but I had a nice time anyway.

Oh, and I nearly overlooked resolution #2: to live out loud and truly let my light shine. Easier said than done sometimes...

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?

Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure about you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to manifest the glory that is within us.

It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

I have a good feeling about this year. I predict abundant goodness, a great new job, and sweet romance. Maybe some for you too! One day down, 364 to go.
